VF30 tech question

My buddy has a VF30 and when he turns his car off, while the turbo timer is engaged, he says he hears this clunking noise as if something is rolling around in the turbo. He said that while the car is running, it sounds fine. He wants me to find out for him what company actually makes the turbo, and what is their phone #? He wants to talk to them directly and ask them if they know what the problem would be. Anyone on here have any idea what that could be?

The clunking is not coming from the turbo. If he is concerned, tell him to remove the inlet hose and check for shaft play.

That's what I thought. Now he's asking me what the difference is between the VF30 and the SR30. Do they both have the same spool characteristics? What PSI do they work efficiently in? (and yes, I will do a search to find out more)

Nothing changes mechanicly for the car when the turbo timer is engaged - it just makes an electircal connection that keeps the car running. Besides - the damn thing dosent even have bearings! Theres nothing in there to be clunking around.

Well we figured out the problem. Took Adam from GRD 10 seconds after he looked under his hood. When you hear this you're gonna . So he looks at the turbo while he's shutting the car off, and he noticed that a bolt was off on the pipe going to the FMIC. LOL! He pulled it up and the noise stopped. No turbo problems, but thanks for the replys.
