Cleaning the Intercooler...

I live in florida and right now it is love bug season...those horney little b****es...anyway a few of them get stuck in my intercooler coils. I tried to pick one out and found out that the coils are really soft and bend easy. Whats the easiest way to clean the intercooler without damaging it too much?

What I do is shoot some Simple Green or other stuff on there to loosen things up and then use a hose with nozzle and very low water pressure. Do not use high pressure or you will bend the fins. Been there done that.

i really dont like spraying water into my engine bay. Anyways, I use a longhaired brush and afterwards realign the fins.
