Does any one of you have a hard time to close the air filter compartment after replacing the stock air filter with a K&N air filter, part# 332232? I had a hard time trying to close the air filter compartment. It seems to me that the K&N filter is a bit bigger on the edge than the stock one.

It's not a damn beanbag!
Definitely. Be very careful to make sure it is actually sealed. K&N actually recommends removing the airbox from the car so you can be sure it closes correctly.

It fits perfectly fine, but you definitely have to finesse it. What I do is pop the filter out so it can slide up a little bit (toward the passenger side of the car). Then I ease the filter back into place as I'm clamping the cover down. Moving both simultaneously makes for a smooth fit without having to force anything.
Speedometer? Is that the thing next to the tach?
It took me about 15 min. to get mine in.
yes it was pretty snug.

Thanks for the replies people!I just got my KN filter in. It took me a good 15min. I did not follow the KN instruction. The way they do it is just too troublesome. The air box seals pretty good to me, just like the stock filter.

It fits just the same as stock filter, it just takes some work to get air box cover back on, even with stock filter. Just finished installing my k&n, took a few minutes to get cover installed correctly, but know its fine.
Notice any gains with the K&N installed??
Didnt notice any real gains, i think the K&N has better filtration than stock filter, it may be my imagination but with the K & N i think the turbo sounds a little louder than with stock filter.
