Parking Lights

For some reason, my parking lights are remaining on after the car is shut off? Can't figure it out....

There's a switch on top of the steering column.

Dont feel bad,..........

1.Most times since I still have my daytime runnin lights connected,

yep, You guessed it,........Drive at night with just them!...Duh.

2. I didnt know the dam thing turns your lights off for you if you forget and leave em on, I was "Giddy" with excitement when I found out!!!
(Actually left em on a bunch a times just to watch it work,...Hee,hee)

LOL. When it happened to me I actually called the dealer to schedule the car in for service. They asked "did you get your car washed today?" I did. LOL

I know that switch all too well. The first time I used it I got back in my car and turned it off. About a mile down the road I start smelling something buring. I start sniffing around and notice smoke coming from the switch. I turned off the car andwaited a while and everything seemed fine. I took it into the dealer and I ended up in a rental for 4 days waiting on parts due to my car being "unsafe to drive".

I've been a little hesitant to use the parking lights recently.
