How to identify a cloned scooby?

    Hello all...

To say my arse is twitching would be an understatment

Having bought a 1994 wrx scooby import I came across a dvla website page which showed the documentation was probably false and the car maybe cloned.. How crap?

Does anyone know how to indentify a cloned vehicle? I've checked the plate with the VIN & Chassis number against a previous MOT and this works out... But of course it would!!

Is there a second marking on the car that matches up to something?

    Cheers in advance all

    Just bought my 1st Scooby

    Happy Days!!

The applied chasis VIN should have the sequence: GC8

    If your's is a 1994, it should be a Version 1: GC8B (chasis code).

    GC8A was 1992/93
    GC8C was 95/96
GC8D was 96/97 and so on.

A 1994 Japan Spec WRX (which would by your import) should have 15" wheels and solid rear disc rotors rather than ventilated. I believe this was the only WRX to ever come with these type rotors.

    Got any pics?
