    Brake light comes on....

So my brake light on my 2003 WRX has started to come on while @ cruising speeds. My first reaction was to make sure my E-brake is not engaged and it isn't and if I do a hard tap and relaease that seems to cure the issue for the time being. Any input about this issue? Has anyone experienced this previously? Thanks
