    What is this CLANKING

I was running my car pretty hard, well thats what our cars are made for, right. well then i started getting this clanking sound coming from the engine. everytime i press on the gas it gets louder and faster. and sometimes my car stalls out when i let off the gas. and it sounds horrible when i try to start it, while it takes a long time to start. anybody help?

    Spun bearing?

Does it sound like a "tick tick tick" kind of noise? I'd assume you have some serious motor issues if it's coming from the motor.

What year car? Any mods? Define running hard.

if you wanna race your car hard then take this as a blessing and replace your factory junked parts with these..you wont have the problem again

like he said you prob spun a bearing..which means your cranks prob been comprimised...you could have possiblly bent a rod..could have done a number of things, but wrx bearings are known to spin..time to upgrade if you want to continue beatting your vehicle...oh..and when your done with the rebuild replace your turbo's oil supply line filter with a new one unless of course you want to fry your turbo due to a clogged $6 filter

i highly doubt you need a block..i suggest you not drive the vehicle though..the more you drive it the more chance you will need a block..but it is unlikely

How hard were you driving. I can't find that much safe road to do anything close to what tracking the vehical would do.

Did you use cheap gas? Make sure you use 91/93 octane. Try name brand gas. Fill the tank up and run it for a bit. See if the noise goes away.
Also, check to see if you have an exhaust leak somewhere. It makes everything sound louder.
