    Glad you got it fixed.
1 issue. If you reset the ECU and haven't driven 150 miles or so, the OBDII sensor the reader may give a "system not ready" code to the inspector. Just a heads up in case that happens. sorry to be a bummer.

does it help anyone to know that the car was wrecked on the back passanger quater panel?????? Im thinking that is the cause of this because thats where the broken plug and loose hose is.

the P0447 code is for the EVAP system, but it's just for the vent solenoid being unplugged or the wires to the vent solenoid missing. i had the same code when i unplugged the vent solenoid to get to the bolts to install my rear sway bar.

you say there was an accident on the rear quarter panel and that's where the vent solenoid is located. if you look under the passenger side rear of the car there will be a black box with a bunch of vacuum and electrical lines going to it. one of them is a connector to the vent solenoid right next to the rear-most bolt for the sway bar mount. the red arrow points to the general location. make sure that solenoid is plugged in.

thanks for the info.... but its broken!?!?!?! the plug on the black box where that solenoid plugs in is broke off. any way to fix it? do i need a new "black box". if so, what should i ask for? i dont think auto zone carries black boxes for wrx, and thats the only thing i know to call it

uh oh, looks like your accident did more damage. the black box is the charcoal canister, it's the big part in the EVAP system and pepboys-type places don't sell em i don't think, probably dealer only because it's emissions related. after looking at the factory service manual it looks like you might be able to replace just the vent solenoid (it's called the vent solenoid and the drain valve, two names for the same part, silly subaru).

the P0448 code is for the vent solenoid wiring shorted which is definitely related to the damaged charcoal canister and rear quarter damage. when you got the damage fixed did you only take it to a body shop or to a mechanic?

damage is not yet fixed... hence the name "WreckdWRX" i called a local Subaru dealer and i will have the new "vent valve" on tuesday. my pops thinks that will fix it. he brought home an OBDII tool and we found a local guy with a sick ass 06 STI with less that 7k miles (its a medium grey color ive never seen before) and took the vent valve to him and he said it was damaged all too hell and that was definitely what was throwing the code. He also sold me AEM cold air intake for $40!!!! Unfortunately, no junk yard will sell you emmisions parts (im a tightwad.... and MAD broke right now) nor do any of them have ANY Subarus past a 1991 model. But the new part will be here tuesday and i will update once I install it.

BTW, any info on the AEM cold air intake? Is this a good mod for a bone-stock car? Ive heard mixed advice about this mod. Lemme know, if its a bad idea ill sell that joint on eBay for way more that $40!

might be useful for you all to know i took out the silencer, or whatever its called, that comes off the air box and runs into the fender well, AND NEVER PUT ANYTHING IN ITS PLACE!!!!!! I havent been very smart with this car, probably should have joined here a LOOOOOONNNNGGGG time ago.

it sure was a "weird up-pipe problem", it affected all the way back to your canister i don't know about the AEM intake, i've always thought they had a "one size fits any car" approach to aftermarket parts, search for intakes and you'll get lots of info on em

if you reset your PCM you're gonna have to drive to get most of the monitors to run & pass... it depends on which state you're in

you're gonna have to trace the wiring to find the problem, the wiring somewhere has probably rubbed onto the body
