    experiencing HUGE mpg gains

Nobody believes me but I swear its true. At 8500k miles i was Constantly getting between 137 and 142 mile per half tank of Gas. Then I changed my engine oil from Quacker State Q advanced to Royal Purple 5W30. Right away I noticed a smoother feel in the engine revs and a noticeably quicker feel to the car, but no gas mileage increases.
Then after a little over 9k I started noticing i was getting around 165 miles per half tank. Awesome.

Then around 10k i started noticing i was in the mid 180's per half tank.
Now i just hit 11k and I'm at 205 miles on a half tank!! WTF !!
Given that the 06 has a 15.9 gallon tank that means I'm doing better than 25 miles a gallon. ( BTW...all of this is with Sunoco 93 octane 90% of the time) The Royal Purple people DO advertise an increase in MPG as a result of reduced engine drag....but Im stunned if this is the norm.
All i have is an SPT catback, lots of suspension stuff and a K&N filter.
Maybe my engines starting to mature or something?
Maybe my fuel gauge is faulty?
Maybe Royal Purples claims are true??

Anyone with a comment ....fire away

p.s. No I do not work for Royal Purple

My buddy just changed his oil to Royal Purple yesterday in his Jeep Cherokee. He immediately noticed a difference as far as the engine goes. I'll have to see if he sees anything in MPG.
