    Is my wheel falling off?

For the last few days i have had an odd problem with my STI, when im taking a tight turn at speed, and or when i run over a really big pot hole.

When i do either of these things i get a loud quick squeak, similar in tone pitch and volume to the sound of new pads (very metal on metal sounding). The sounds happens with out touching the break pedal and only lasts a split second.

The sound is isolated to my front pass tire. The car has 40k on it, new tires, and all new brakes components with about 6k on them..

I do not drive this Sti much as i have another car, and so far the car feels no different to drive, but im curious is im driving on a terrible flaming death trap?

Any ideas what might cause this? Wheel bearings? the wrath of god?

Double check it again, maybe you over looked something. Could be the Sway bar(s), lose bolt, etc.

1st thing... stay away from potholes!
OK, check the rims for loose bolts, probably not it. soooo...
Get the sway bars relubed. Probably your culprit. Make sure the endlinks are torqed to 30-35lbs

Thanks for the advice!!! i really appriciate it. i will take a look at it again tomorrow. its funny that the sound is a metal on metal rotational sound, not a hit or a clunk.
