    Bent Fins?

    Just poped open my hood and theres like 5 bent fins on the inter cooler. Think I should just leave it like that? Or is this covered under warranty? 07 wrx 450 miles.

    They are gonna bend, mine looks like a group of rocks played ping pong. 06 with 16.5k miles. No worries though my bar and plate huge TMIC should be here today.

    yep, for some reason the stock ic cant take rocks like an aftermarket one can. My fmic has less bent fins than my stock tmic.
    282 AWHP...267 lb-ft torque.

    i've heard of and seen radiator fin combs but they seem like it made to comb out long fins like a radiator has. anyone out there used this tool on the short IC fins on their wrx or sti IC? before/after pics?

    Go to Home Depot and get some window screen material (the metal stuff, not the plastic) and make yourself a little protective screen. No more bent fins...
