    Shifter rattle?

    Hey i've read this forum for a while and ust decided to join. i have a relativley simple question reguarding my "new" 2002 wrx. about 1000 miles after i purchased the car i noticed that the shifter rattled while in 3rd gear after hitting 3K and now it's starting to do it in 4th, anyone have any ideas?

    i have the same issue. i am thinking it might be the bushing cup the ball of the shifter sits in, but i dont know for sure. i havent pulled that plastic piece that covers it up off to check.

    any one else?
