    How to stop rust?

    hey everyone,

a few weeks ago i had a big rock hit my right fender and take off about a dime sized piece of paint. i thought it was just the top layer. well its starting to get tiny dust sized red spots. so now i need to sand and paint i assume. i bought the subaru touch up pain, and i plan on having it professionally painted in a few months. how should i go about getting rid of the rust and making sure its protected for good? thanks

Sand it to remove the rust then use touch up paint.

If its a small spot you might need to get some sanding sticks. Griots has a good kit for this kind of thing.
