    Ok. Big Problem Need Help!

So it snowed last weekend here in Wisconsin so I thought we'd take my 02 WRX sedan out for some doughnuts in the freshly snowed parking lot. Well I did a few and all of a sudden my car dies. It wouldn't' start until we let it sit for about and hour and then jumped it. When we got it started, it ran, but makes this knocking sound and it sounded like a belt was off. We'll I just had a mechanic look at it and he said its internal. We drained some of the oil out and there were no metal shavings nor any check engine lights. When you drive it, it feels very weak. It kills sometimes and just feels all around ****ed. I want to know if anyone has had this happen to them or knows what it could be and how much it will be to fix. I am really in a tough spot know as I don't know anyone around here that can confidently fix Subaru's. If anyone could be of ANY assistance, that would be great.
