    How do Subie's hold up after high mileage?

    I was just curious to know if these cars develop the various rattles that my Grand Prix has developed after 78,000 miles. If owners of high mileage cars could chime in, it'd be great! Thanks gents.

    Well imo grand prixs are built horribly. My grandparents had a new one and within 1000 miles it looked and sounded bad with regular use. Subies make noises and are known to have slight rattles after a few thousand miles. As far as longevity, they will go forever if taken car of.

    I too have seen nothing good come from Ponticraps but I'm sure it may just be poor luck thats all but who knows.

    I think Subaru builds them much better then the average...My '02 wrx has over 151,500 miles on it now and as far as I now I could jump in it and drive across the country and back home with no fear of not makeing it...

    Impressive, how long have you been Stage 2? Still on original stock turbo?

    EVERYTHING mechanical is still stock and origional part ...The only things that were ever replaced was the rear end and struts. Bad roads around here ... As for my mod path;

    Before buying my WRX 3.5 yrs ago I heard about rattles but I dont have any at this point...still sounds and rides as if new. The interior isnt going to win any awards from Toyota but hell it's a subie, it will run forever if you take care of it, Friend of mine has 240k+ miles on his Subie and it still doesnt burn any oil or smoke.
