I recently noticed that anytime I travel over 90 mph, which isn't very often, there is a very loud whistle coming from the left side of the car. I can't tell if its coming from the front or back.
Any suggestions on what this is?
I'm figuring its either having something to do with the tires or the recent tint I got put on messed up the windows somehow. To be honest I'm not to sure. It hasn't happened before so the tint or wheels are suspect? Am I overlooking any engine problems or anythign?

What kind of car? Does it have roof racks? Possible window Gussett.
Subie 2006 WRX TR. No roof rack..and window gussett? not familiar with that terminology, I assume your talking about the foamy stuff which the window rests against on the top of the window?

I have the same problem. I believe is the window seal. Mine is after 110 on the right side.
Yup, same thing for me. Starts whistling at like 100.

yeah, that happens on my TR also. If you fold in your mirrors, you can notice a reduction in noise.

mine does it too...
Window Gusset folks.
My 06 does it too, I think it is the moulding above the windshield on the right side. If you look for some reason there is a gap between the roof line and windshield molding on the pass side but not on the drivers. I notice the sound eminating from there.
Had a similar problem with the 05 MINI S albeit it came on at like 70mph and was much much more annoying.

whats interesting is that moulding is a must replace item when the windshield is replaced. It would beinteresting to hear from an 06 owner that had the windshield replaced and moulding fitted properly
