My new MY06 WRX STI used no oil....

Just had first service (I'm in Australia so it's at 5,000 KM's/3,000 Miles). Used no oil. Is this ok? I NEVER revved it over 4,000 RPM in this time. Subaru told me it might use up to a litre/quart in first 5,000 KM's/3,000 miles. Just wondering. It's my first New Subaru. Lovely little car. Very cute. ))))

Um no. I personally requested and witnessed the Subaru dealer service by the mechanic. It took a "measured" 4.4 liters to fill. They were amazed, but I don't know why!!!!!! I live in the country so no urban driving. A LOT of steep hills etc....... Seems quite a few owners use a fair bit of oil each 3,000 miles.... Go figure. Thanks for your reply mate!!!! This is a very lovely little car....)) I might buy another one in ten years... LOL)
