2002 WRX Wagon.
When I filled up about a week ago, I noticed the attendant was
having trouble filling it at a reasonable rate. (NJ -- nobody pumps
their own gas.) I just figured he was an idiot and forgot about it.
(I wouldn't even mention this, but I read something online about
slow filling and tank venting problems...)
A couple of days later the check engine light came on. When I
got home I checked the gas cap and it wasn't even close to correct.
It was basically just riding inside the door. I tightened it and
figured the CEL would clear.
I didn't use the car for a few days. This afternoon it wouldn't start
for me. Cranked but didn't fire. I've never had any trouble before.
Ideas? Suggestions?
Anything to do besides call Subaru and get a tow??
Thanks,
LB

**** off with your candy paint jobs and spoilers that are 8x too big , I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let... lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.
i dont know the exact correlation, i just know an over-filled gas tankl tends to cause problems for gas feeding to the engine...try getting some out, then restart it
did you check over everything else? it could be another problem and have nothing to do with your tank

I don't suppose you have an AccessPort or any other means of checking the code from the CEL....?
