    Low Boost Unsafe?

    i recently purchased an 02 WRX sedan black 5spd with 79,000 for 8000.... i think the car runs great. i was ripping on the highway after i purchsing the car uptill my wastegate started acting up due to my boost being turned up to 18psi.. i drive my car alot. if i set my boost at like 5 psi will that harm my motor?

    By "turn down the boost" I assume you have a boost controller on the car?
    Your best bet is to remove that and put the car back to stock, at least until you've learned quite a bit more about the car.

    Another post that blows my mind. Why dont you drive just a little bit more conserative. My 06 will boost till around 10 psi, but if I dont want it to it doesnt. No need to turn it down.....

    18 psi? What engine management are you running and what mods are on the car?

    Dont turn it down to 5psi. If anything revert to stock (13.5psi).

    +1 to returning to stock
    unless you have EM to deal with the higher boost then turn it down before you blow up something
