How Did My Tie Rod Go Bad?

Bought 4 new tires this weekned and took it to another shop down the street for an alignment. The guy there called me to the back and showed me by moving my tires in and out that my inner tie rod needs to be replaced. I never hit a curb or large pothole on that side so I am kinda baffled as to how my 04 WRX already needs a new tie rod. Can anyone plaese explain? Thanks.

No warranty enede back in May. Hard cornering very possible am known to do that from time to time (it is a Subaru after all). There was no rust as far as I could see.
