I did a search and couldn't find anything pertaining to this, so here is my problem:

When I shut my car off, my tail lights won't turn off. In addition, my parking? lights won't turn off either. I even waited about an hour and they still won't turn off. I guess I will disconnect my battery tonight. Does anyone know why this would happen and how to go about fixing this?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On top of your steering column is a switch, flip it the other way. Those are your parking lights.

Turn the little switch off that's located on the top of the steering column.

I think everyone has at one point. Its such an easy thing to miss when you turn flip the switch to the on position. Leave it to subaru to make two parking light switches.

Thanks everyone... I'm still mulling this one over in my head. The worst part is when I was posting my question, I was thinking, "Wait, let me check to make sure it's not something silly," so I tried different combinations of turning on my lights with the car running, with the ignition in the ON position, even my alarm. I had a flashback of reading a forward of some IT problems and their solutions like: "My computer says to press any key to continue, but I can't find the ANY key!"

It's times like these that remind me to be humble.
