I need help, my fiance drives my scooby now, because I got my Gixxer, anyway I drove it the other day and noticed when at WOT in 3rd or 4th gear, the EGT's go above 1400 degrees getting close to 1600 degrees. The car also smokes more at WOT. What is causing this? It's a 02 WRX with almost 60K on her. For mods, turboback, up-pipe, cobb tuning and a boost controller. The plugs were also changed about 1 year ago. Help thanks!![]()

I got the accessport after the boost controller, that is why. As far as too much boost goes, I really only use it for the drag strip and even then that is only to reach 16 psi. I have been running this setup for about a year and have never had any problems with the car. The egts remained the same until recently, where they have jumped 200 degrees.
