    Ok I took my car to get the tires rotated and to get the oil changed. My extended family owns the automotive repair place, and they do good quality work. But today someone else that iv never seen down there was working on my car. After about a hour I look out side and my car is not there? Im like WTF So I go down and ask the guy working at the counter where it was, he said they were taking it around the block and it will be back shortly. I see it drive up, then leave again (this time with the owner of the repair place, which I dont mind him driving it). Then when it got back and I went outside I smelled anti-freez, they said they accidentally opened the top reservoir thinking it was the power-steering. So now my car reeks of anti-freez. I didnt really want to say anything about the driving cause I didnt really think anything about it. Should I be worried about anything? I suppose that the oil was still cold(being new). How long will it take this ant-freez smell to go away?

    There is no reason to test drive a car thats having an oil change or tire rotation unless a speciofic complaint was noted requiring a drive to diagnose.

    I would pop the hood and see if their is coolant anywhere.

    dude i would raise hell...

    mabye im just anal but i do everything i can myself just so no one else would ever have to drive or touch my car... i can name the 5 people who have drove my car since i got it

    i think i have had 2 others drive my car...and one is my wife.

    I would definitely take it back and point out the issue/problem. i agree on the test drive for an oil change unless they were asked to look at another problem as well.

    usually they should just need to let it idle for a min to make sure the oil gauge/light goes to normal. no need to drive it around.

    Yeah, I hate those ****ers. I had work done on my previous car and the same work done on my WRX. The only difference in service was they took my WRX for a test drive. I wouldn't care if it was an auto, but I've had enough burning clutch and just plain poor shifting to where almost no one else drives my car.
