    Grinding Gears

Hey i have a 03 wrx with aprox 35k miles and when i drive unless i go really slow and easy 4th gear grinds when i put it into that gear. When shifting a little faster sometimes 3ed and 5th do it too. 1st or 2ed never does though. I have been looking around at some peoples problems and trying to figure out what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my 4th gear grinds too. Its been about 30 - 35k miles since the last rebuild. I found a set of clips in my tranny oil when I changed it this weekend. If you havent changed yours in awhile I recommend you do that and see whats stuck to the magnet. My 4th doesnt grind all the time like yours though, only if Im shifting above 4k rpms. Ive found (and I know this is going to sound super lame but it works I swear it) that double clutching (gasp!) seems to help.

edit: how the blue hell do you have an 03 with such low miles on it?
