    06 WRX no acceleration

This past saturday nite. I got into acouple of races back to back everything is fine....Till i felt the brakes get alittle mushy....As i turned on the light another WRX challenges. I was in first then punch it when i shifted to 2nd felt like i had no pickup just bogging down finally it picks up but did not feel right....I turn around and same problem brakes were mushy....I pull into a store to look and my front brakes were smoking alittle bit nothing big just alittle bit of smoke...I took it home next morning drove and felt fine....Does Subaru have a safety feature that if your brakes get tooo hot they kill the performance out of the car? i am thinking i prolly ran it too hard and the turbo got hot...I only had this car for about 2 months now and this is the first i ever ran her this hard....Any help would be appreciated..thanks...

You probaly heat soaked very badly and it was hurting your performance. Subaru has no saftey features reading off your brakes.

You will not have these performance issues if you stick to racing in school zones. The WRX ECU is specially tuned to recognize these areas and increase boost accordingly.

+1 I only race in school zones for this exact reason. If you get a AP you can reflash the ECU to allow for racing on sanctioned race tracks.

Yea that is what i was thinking i heat soaked the Turbo....Kind of scarey going that fast and the brakes felt like i had none....Also What are you talking about racing in a school zone...Also where i am at the track is too far away for me to go to. I am going to get the ECU reflashed when i get my exhaust and down pipe installed...Thanks for the help.
