    new face plate lagging!

    Face plate is lagging and when i red line the whole engine wants to slow down. i think i am just going over my 7rpms but does anyone know how to fix my face from not lagging!

    ok when u get a new face plate u install it over your other faceplate and when i am driving the needle lags so when the needle catches up i am all reddy over stressing my engine and cut out my fuel!

    Maybe he means something like a gauge overlay.... When I see faceplate I keep thinking of a stereo

    yes that is what i mean, sorry i am kinda new at this site i just bought this car and i just want it to work out so do u know how to fix it b/c grd wants 150 to take off the gauge and fix it but i think i can do it!

    you mean a new gauge cluster and the tach is lagging and by the time it catches up you are at redline, but it is not hard to hear the rpms are high before fuel cut or rev limiter even without a tach if that is the case then not sure myself never messed with the gauge cluster

    im so confused but i think his revs are jumping up on the tach... is the car excellerating or is the clutch slipping?

    No a BOV will make your faceplate run rich and stutter between shifts.

    faceplate as in new gauge faces on the factory cluster? If thats the case, you fudged the needle which miscalibrated the gauge, and now its inaccurate.
