    CEL Code.. WTF??

Alright.. honestly, this is really starting to get to me.

Everytime I go on any kind of longer trip [2+ hours], on the highway, my CEL pops on while im cruising at just over 80ish. [yes, i know, the speedlimits are rarely over 65, im over it, you should be too]. So i throw on my accessport, and check the codes, 1131. Everytime its an 1131. What code ISNT in the accessport big-book-o-codes? 1131.

what the hell is an 1131!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i reset it, it comes back on. If i reset and let the car rest for the good portion of 10 minutes, it takes even longer to come back on, and sometimes doesnt. It's very sporatic, but only happens past 80mph, and when it knows im going to be travelling far from home, where tow trucks will cost a fortune to get the car back.

    Thanks in advance

P1131 Front oxygen sensor circuit malfunction (short circuit)

Check the wiring of the O2 sensor in the exhaust maifold, maybe something is frayed or is rubbing against the pipe and when it gets hot something shorts out.

whered you find this? .. i searched and came up with nothing.. but thanks! i'll check it out on lunch. i kind of assumed it had something to do with the o2 sensor, as the car still ran fine, and it wasnt affecting really anything. not only that, but all the codes around that number had to do with the o2 sensors.

Got this code earlier, I actually found a short in the harness up by the plug. My research before finding the short shows this can come up when your front O2 sensor is getting ready to go south. The feedback simulates a short even if the wiring is good.
The Autozone scanner shows it as a "manufacturers code", guess the OBDII folks could not name EVERY possible error?!?

I had a similar CEL...only happened if I used cruise control above 65 mph in the mornings leaving for work. The resistor mod CEL fix took car of it. A buck and a visit to radio shack. No problems since. I run a stage 2 AP setup with stock axleback.

Just do a search for the resistor mod. It's easy to take care of, assuming this is your issue. If your 02 sensor is fried, I'm not sure if a tuner can address the issue. Might want to post your question in the engine management forum.
