    something squealing

Ok i've read lots of forums on breaking squealing and haven't seemed to find and answer for my problem. When I'm driving, between 0- 40 mph, I get this irratating squeal its enough to drive a person nuts...its really louda and the only way i can get it to stop is by pushing the brake... i have greased the pads, sanded the glazed of of them. I don't remember what kind of pads they are but i paid like 50 dollars for them....they are beveled on the top and bottom. also i have drilled and slotted rotor....

Does it sound like your brakes are dragging?

Weird. Are the bearings OK? I can't think of anything else, unless you have debris stuck somewhere.

Hm... My 3 guesses still stand for what it's worth -- dragging, debris, or bearing... unless... say, when you swapped rotors (I assume you have aftermarket rotors) did you have any rubbing issues with the backing plates (dust shields)?

    Did anyone figure this out

Hey - did your squeal ever get resolved? I've got the exact same thing in my passenger side rear. I did the brakes about 5 months ago and I'm getting an intermittent squeal that goes away when I hit the brakes.

I took the rotor off yesterday and didn't see any unusual wearing with the rotor or the pad. So I blew out the entire drum with air, and sprayed some of the ebrake components with penetrating oil (yeah that was probably dumb but I was desparate).

It seems better but it recurred on me last night when I was driving.
