New bambi headlight/hood mod

So there i was driving down the road & this friggin bambi decides to give me a new headlight & hood modification. It ran out in front of me, like they always do, and i hit it. It came from my left kind of from behind me so i didn't even see it. I was doing about 50mph. Long story short, the deer is dead & now i need a new headlight & hood. It definately would've been alot worse if the deer was bigger. I'm seriously thinking about getting a CF hood now instead of waiting till spring. I'm not happy about having to clear/paint another headlight. Although I can get away with fixing the headlight by glueing the bracket. Thats the only thing thats wrong with it. Damn deer!

Sorry for the bad news. Nice thing is that the damage doesn't look too bad and obviously could have been a whole lot worse. Did ya keep the deer at least?

Ok, so i got $1300 from my insurance company. I ordered a new headlight which will be here monday. I just have to mod (delense & paint) it again so my car doesnt look like one of those dogs with 2 different colored eyes driving around. I'm ordering an OEM CF hood monday. And i'm having my body shop repaint the bumper. $300 for that,... ouch! And thats if I take it off & put it back on myself which SHOULD be no big deal. I'll try to get some pics up when all is said & done.

Update: My bumper goes in tomorrow to get repainted. I modded the new headlight & put it in last week. I'm having a little problem with the carbon fiber hood. I ordered it from the ClubWRX vendor CarbonLimited & when i got it monday, the hood scoop was cracked. To make a long story short, i'm left dealing with DHL to make a claim & try to get a new hood or my money back. Bottom line is no customer service from the vendor. I'm not a happy camper & will NOT be getting another hood from him! Simply terrible.

Ok, got the bumper back. Not a happy camper AGAIN. There's a bunch of black & red lint fibers under the clearcoat & there's runs in the paint. WTF?! I'm bringing the bumper back to them next month so they can repaint it after I buy a beater. After this, i'm just gonna put the WRX up & work on it till it's done. No more ****ing around. Still waiting on a response from DHL on the CF hood.

Update II: Bumper is coming off hopefully next week to get repainted, as soon as the temps here get above 20. STILL no help from CarbonLimited, the ClubWRX vendor who i'm getting the shaft from, about my hood. Looks like it's time to phone my lawyer. WTF? What happened to customer service nowadays? At least my WRX is not seeing this great NY winter we're having!

Kind of funny you post that because I DID note all damages to the packaging on the receipt & I told you that from day one. It's a good thing Carson Daly invented karma. It doesn't matter anymore though. My bank gave me back the money you pocketed & I bought another hood from a different vendor with better customer service skills. On another note, I installed the Tein H-Techs, new 225/50/16 Yokohama's & my new vanity plate & got the bumper re-repainted. I just got her out 2 weeks ago. She's looking good!
