Exclamation Help with wrong oil filter install mistake

    Please help...
I need to know if I should take off a K&N HP-1004 (2.0L non-turbo) oil filter I put on by mistake when I chenged my oil today. I must have misread the cross-reference at the auto parts store. The one for the turbo 2.0L is HP-1008 and it's significantly smaller. Will this damage the engine or am I ok for another 3k miles?

    Thanks.

I'd swap them out ASAP. The larger filter will probaly hold more oil and while it probaly isnt a devasting mix up, with a turbo car that depends on oil for more then the motor I'd want the right filter on. Also the filter from 02-03 is a different size so maybe that was the mistake. I'd get the right filter on their.
