    Clutch question

This is probably a amateur question but its better than not knowing at all.

I just recently bought a used 04' STi.

Brought it into Subaru dealership because it grinded everytime I went from 3rd to 4th gear.

Had some 4th gr. synchro problem.

    Got it fixed.

I was also informed that the clutch had to be replaced pretty soon.

    So I got it replaced.

Now, while I am driving and even when I am not moving, I can smell the clutch burning.

    My question is..

Is that normal because it's a new clutch?
Also, is there a way to properly break in a new clutch?
And Lastly, my gears seem a little stiff, is it because I got a new clutch?

    Thank you for your help

    1) what clutch did you install?

    2) who did the installation?
