Yes, I did multiple searches.
No, nothing I found answered my question.

I've got a 2004 STI which was just recently purchased. I think my front and possibly rear brakes are starting to go, they are the stock pads, the car has roughly 12,500 miles on it. What makes me think they might be going is under low pressure I hear a squeal from the front right side. I am aware that this could mean one of three things, dirty, need to be greased, or its time to replace them. First question, what are the stock pads on an '04 sti? Second question, how good are the Hawk HPS Street brake pads? Even if I don't need to replace them, and they just need to be greased I'd still like to purchase pads so that I have them for a future application. Any Ideas, suggestions, propostions or helpful incite would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the scene, and I'm sick of hearing the brakes squeal like Ms. Piggy.
