2003 subaru wrx, CEL on, code PO327

So today, my check engine light came on I just bought the car less then two months ago. Anyway the code that is showing up is: PO327 (knock sensor) I'm not very mechanically inclined but I am smart enough to be able to google and research things, So i did and basically i read that A: sensor is bad and needs to be replaced, B: some fault in the wiring of the sensor, or C: ECU failure.

Like i said, i don't know what to think, the weird thing is i still drove the car for a few minutes after I noticed the check engine light came on and read the code, and then the light went off a bit after that.

well let me get to my question: Is it safe to drive it around still if the light comes back on?? and If the light doesn't come back on should i still get it checked out? (I cleared the code after writing it down and the light came back on afterwards, then after driving it for a few minutes it turned off)

Any info on this topic would be GREATLY appreciated...Thanks guys.

Sounds like the knock sensor is failing. Check the connection and wiring along with it first
