I have been having some problems with the WRX.
Mid July I ran a CEL brought the car in to Subaru, the diagnosis was a deformed Intercooler duct.
The report from Subaru reads as follows:
Verify concerns and perform scan test, code p0300 set for misfires. Road test and monitor engine data. Update ECM to latest software version, still showing misfires. Found the intercooler duct was deformed and leaking vacuum at the throttle body allowing unmetered air into the intake flow. Replaced the duct, cleared code, and road tested - Good.
Three days ago I walked out of work started the car it began to misfire and CEL came back on. I brought the car back in was told the car ran code P0300 again but they are unable to recreate the misfire so they cleared the CEL and said we are unable to give you a solution.
I did a little research and have come up with some basic answers and would ask you guys to give me some input especially some of the tuners maybe WTF maybeeee....... Car is stock tune and what i have read says it could be spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, vacuum leak, battery.
