Can't get STRi boost gauge to stay in pod

Any idea how to get this gauge to stay the included pod? Do I have to use the double sided tape? This is my first gauge so what am I missing here? Doesn't seem to have any where to screw in and there is about 1/16 inch of free space all around the pod when the gauge is in it.there are other parts that came with that looks like it might assist in keeping the gauge in the pod but I don't have the slightest idea how. The instructions don't say anything about installing the gauge in the pod.

Try putting a thick rubber band on the gauge to fill the gap

Rubber band is ideal. Second option is double sided foam tape. It's padded so it's thicker, and the adhesive is minimal. Comes off with no effort and won't leave residue. It fills the gap nicely.
