    Yes , no effect .

    Cranking for a couple of seconds , rest then retry worked almost every time .

    My car could have a prominent part in many horror movies

    is this issue wrx specific? or I guess since Forester owners have it more like FA20 specific? are 2015 STI owners having the same issue? might be something to look into. either way the stealership is your best bet unfortunately
    2013 wrx sedan(saving up for a 2015 STI)

    End result is Subaru NA and the dealership traded me out of my base WRX into a new Limited . My old gal was to sick to continue .

    So in the end they replaced the car? I needed to revive this.

    I had the same issue this morning. She's 5 days old with 120 miles. It cranked forever and wouldn't start, tried a 2nd time & I could tell it wasn't going to again so I pumped the gas peddle a few times whIle cranking & it sputtered to life. Add my issue of reverse being darn near impossibe when cold and I'm starting to be concerned about my purchase.

    I may chalk some of this up to the 93 with ethanol around here. My Si always ran and started better with 91 no ethanol but I no longer commute to where that was available.

    I'm having this same issue... I got my WRX on Oct 13th and have had the issue 5 or 6 times now. I took it to Subaru about a week ago, but they haven't been able to recreate the issue. They said they will be keeping it until they can. I'm driving a Forester for now.
