Trouble attaching downpipe to EMUSA turbo

Installing an OEM EMUSA turbo on an 04 WRX. Old turbo had studs, but new turbo has threads for bolts. Bought bolts the same as the studs and they fit perfectly in one of the threaded holes for the downpipe, but the other two they will make 1 turn and stop. Not sure what to do - see if there is a slightly smaller bolt for the other 2 holes, oil the bolts I have and tighten them anyway, re-thread the two holes the same size as the one that works, anything anyone else can suggest.

The OEM turbo for your car is a Mitsubishi TD04L-13t.. so I suspect that's your problem. From what I gather, EMUSA is a cheap knock off Chinese eBay brand, so I wouldn't expect much on it to work as advertised. It could be that they simply screwed up when tapping the threads.. companies like that have no quality control procedures in place since they're just trying to spit out the cheapest junk people will buy.

My suggestion, get a real TD04L-13t, and it'll have no problems bolting up and functioning as it should.
