2007 Subaru WRX Engine Blown Help

I bought a 2007 subaru wrx from craiglist and the guy who sold it to me told me that i needed to change the MAF senor and some other sensor
i drove the car home (which was like 30 minutes away) and by the time i got home and turned off the car i called the subaru dealer to do an analysis on it and when i went to turn the car back on it wouldn't rev past 1200 ish RPM and when it was worrmed up for about half an hour than it started revving to about 3200 but no more than that when i was on the street, it woudnt go past 40 mph when it was in 5th gear
The subaru dealer checked the codes and it has a missfire from all the cylinders 1-4 and a p0016 Crankshaft position- Camshaft position Correction

I was woundering if i was to replace the engine what kind of engine can i use on it EX(1997 subaru rs, 2002 wrx, k20) or something that can make it work
im not really worried about speed i just want something to do its job and making the car run atleast like a toyota lol

    FYI its a salvage title

if someone can help me i would really appricate that

Your not being ignored, I just don't know. Give it a few days. There are a lot of smart people on here who probably know exactly what you need.

Hi, ok, but did you find out why? That will dictate what you need to do. Example: are the heads OK? If so you need a short block. So, what went wrong?

Why don't you fix the camshaft position sensor first then the misfires. No offense but why would you buy a salvage title car if you are not proficient at repairing them?

Why would you put a Honda motor (K20) in it?

    This thread is very odd...

I would ask for more info from the Subaru dealership you took it to. Get a written price quote for what they are going to be doing.

Maybe take it to another shop for a 2nd opinion?

2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

My Honda motor just turned 200K. New timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc. Changing the spark plugs made me miss the... ease and convenience of accessing the plugs on the EJ205! However the motor itself is brilliant (3,5L V).
