Nice cars. My question still stands:

No.............using a compression tester. And those DTC's do not show your engine is blown. In fact an OBDII reader doesn't have that ability. But,hey whatever. If you think you need a new engine and the heads are good (assuming the engine is already torn apart and someone with the appropriate skills checked them out) then just put in a factory Subaru shortblock.................

If I have a chance I'll ask a friend if he has a compression tester and there's like one more page of the scan results the Subaru dealer told be it needs an engine but never told me if it was a blown engine or not Click image for larger version.

2007 Subaru WRX Engine Blown Help

If you need an engine you need to know specifically why. How else could you hope to prevent history repeating itself?

If you simply want an engine but don't need one then see short block advice above.

Please take it to a reputable shop that can give you a second opinion.

I'm on the Tapatalk app but where do you live? (City/State). Maybe someone can point you in the right direction of a shop close to you.

Not that the dealership you went to is lying to you but I would want to know DETAILS on why Subaru said you need a new engine. Also I'd have them write everything down on what is going to be done (IE: quote).
