I have to give it gas to crank my car, fuel pump?

I have a 03 WRX with these mods
    -Invidia Downpipe Catted Divorced Wastegate
-Invidia Racing Series Cat Back Exhaust Titanium Tip
    -No Tune........SMH

The problem is that I have a CEL code for
    -cylinder 2 misfire
    -front O2 Sensor

My car wont crank unless i pump the gas pedal i need to know the problem.
I am also having some boost spikes when press the gas? Fix?
Could it be a failing fuel pump?
And I need to pass inspection what do I need to do to get the front 02 code fixed?

Check your injector/coil pack/and plug on cylinder two first, replace if necessary.

The obvious answer is replace the sensor.

o.k. but typically a O2 sensor will not cause a misfire....

I was replying to the OP question on fixing passing inspection, but yes actually a fialing/bad front O2 sensor can cause a misfire. It controls the closed loop fueling.

I will have to defer to you on Subies still learning the breed, But in my experience with other makes, the misfire causes the O2 sensor to go erratic, polar opposite.

Both can happen. But obviously if you already know the O2 sensor is bad then just replace it. It's not like you can't test the sensor for proper operation as well.

    OP- Read this......
