    90% of the time that someone says it's "rod knock," it's not any form of bearing failure. Keep after Subaru to get this thing diagnosed. Keep us informed.

    Yes its completly normal now, the pinging sound was resolved by tightening the heatshield. The other sound is normal which i didint know, my car drives fine now.
