Gates product quality, timing belt kit.

Does anyone have experience with Gates products? My gf needs a new timing belt kit and water pump and Gates seems to be a popular brand. They state OE or better.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Good product...

While you're there, add an OE water pump gasket, OE thermostat, and OE thermostat gasket.

You can get away with just the kit, but in my experience, it's worth replacing the other parts.

Thanks, I'll definitely get this as well. I planned on the OE water pump gasket. I've seen mixed reviews on the pump... I've had difficulty finding an OEM pump.

Gates is pretty good. Most of the idlers/pulleys are OEM (NSK). I have also had luck with PCI.

I got the Gates racing blue timing belt kit pretty cheap thru Amazon. Whole kit w/water pump for $255 shipped.

I don't believe they are the same kits. Ones I'm finding for the 09 are about $100 more.
