Dealer drilled a hole for front plate?

Hi i just got my new 2015 WRX STI Limited WRB and since i dont have plates yet i decided to remove the plate frame in the front and saw that they drilled holes on the front bumper so that they can install their dealer plate frame, is this normal? i am kinda dissapointed about this

Yes because by law (depending on your state) you may be required to have front plates on your car

It looks like the factory holes are there and the screwed self tapping also? I would be pissed off and make them replace the bumper

so most likely even if i complain about it they wont do anything about it? because its part of the PDI? i expected that there will be some sort of a hole like the one on the back of the car. so sad looks not normal thats why i asked.

You can try. My dealership, depending on the tech...if he's smart enough won't do it on sports cars. We'll leave the bracket and whatever in the trunk for the customer to decide

You should have told them not to to do it. Lesson learned.

Not seeing the problem considering you will have to mount a plate there.

I'd ask for a new bumper. Seems you might not get far, but if you noticed before you signed I'd tell them it was a deal stopper.
On ny wife's car they put a sticker on it even after I asked them not to. If there was any residue or scratches I wouldn't have driven it off the lot. That's just plain ridiculous. IMHO

In NY we are required to have front plates, but thr dealer didn't drill holes in my WRX and the first thing I got for it was a Grimmspeed relocation kit.

The thing is the factory holes are there which will work for the plate when it arrives look at the pic. The dealer drilled 2 new holes with self rappers to put there plate frame that's not right
