They said Tuesday. The shipping company called me yesterday. That's weird. I would love to have it by the weekend though, just not going to happen. Hoping i get everything else by then and i'll have my downpipe welded up and get the fuel pump, wiring harness and ebcs installed and out of the way. I'm all the way down to the A/C now and wishing i'd had it drained when i had it in the shop.

Do you know if the engines come with the COP's?

I'm going to go get a new starter and fuel filter as well as an engine stand tomorrow morning.

Wingless alas. Too bad it took a 50 ton truck to make it happen.

I'm also shopping computers for tuning. I'm having a friend tune it but i want a setup to run the logger and be able to make little changes here and there as well as monitor everything. I don't want any setbacks. I'm looking at a little asus refurb on newegg for 300 and i'll get rid of windows 8 and put my windows 7 home or a linux distro on it, then just use it strictly for tuning. 300 + 170 for the Tactrix cable is cheaper than what i paid for my accessport. lol

I didn't read the whole thing, so sorry if I missed it.

How many miles when it finally was done?

I'd put linux and XBMC on it and use it for something other than just tuning, but that is just me.

Ug. My laptop is straight windows but for the desktop I made it dual boot for stuff I can't run in Linux. Oh well, xbmc can run in windows even if it is antithetic.

227K. I'm betting the rod broke near the journal. I've read that's a weak spot. Motor comes out this weekend and i'll open it up and i will know.

Pulled the motor, found the issue. Rod bearing disintegrated.

So, motor is out and still waiting on the EJ207 to arrive. In the mean time i got my boost controller, fuel pump and AVCS bulkhead wiring harness installed. Engine will be here Tuesday and i'll try to get it in as fast as possible.

The plus side to finding out it was a bearing, is i could probably still sell the motor if i chose to, or i could rebuild it without having to buy a short block. Glass half full.

Just came in today, but my engine wiring harness is kind of fugged up. I contacted Hamid, i'll let you know what he says. Hope yours is in better condition than mine was. Functionally it is great, but the coolant reservoir that feeds the turbo had the top returns bent and the brown and black plugs were broken, as well as some of the pins pulled out. I guess worst case scenario i can pull my old wiring harness and wire in avcs but i don't want to do that if i don't have to because i don't have a diagram.

Also, i've read that the galley plugs are good for oil pressure sensors. Is this the front one?

Should i move that stock dummy sensor to the rear plug that's empty and put my oil pressure in that front one? Does the front one give a more accurate reading being closer to the pump?

Delete the stock OP sensor completely. It only lights up to tell you that you lost enough oil pressure to lose the motor.

Pretty much the same. Lol. Good shape but broken tabs on the connectors. They are all decent enough to use though it looks like. My inlet was busted so he is sending me a new one. But yeah he didnt send me a wiring harness. From what ive been told I can rewire the tgv for the avcs. We will see. I can always buy the IAP AVCS wiring harness too.
