    Subie Newbie, little advice?

So I just got my 03 wrx a couple days ago, and I plan on doing a maintenance check/ clean up this weekend just to make sure everything checks out.

Other than oil/normal fluids is there anything specifically that I want to check and make sure is good?

I don't have any reason to believe that anything is wrong with it, but this is my first Subaru so I could use advice from guys who actually know these cars

Replace the timing belt if it hasn't been done, lately. Maybe plugs and wires, too? Your bushings may also be a little worn by this point.

Compression / leakdown test replace the timing belt even if you think its been changed. I would also check to see if you have the stock up pipe in there, if you do I'd replace that very soon.

I would get a turboxs or a grimmspeed. I got a new turboxs one for my 02 off of ebay last year for $95, still have yet to install it yet though.

Yeah about the trans and diff, I just started noticing a subtle whine but it sounds like it's either the trans or maybe front or center diff?

How many miles are on the car??

youll drain and refill the trans and the rear diff. i do it every 60k with subaru extra s 75w90 but some prefer a blend of fluids.

spark plug change?? (someone asnwer how often) and all the recommended things, dont forget to check your brakes and also look to see which recalls have been completed on your car.

It has 84k. So is the oil somewhat special? (Could it be bought at Oriely's or advanced auto) and I still need to ask the dealer and check the carfax to see what all maintenance was performed.
