Newly Installed Alternator belt broke, what should I look for?

    Hi,

I just got my 10 wrx prem. from the dealer last night after my 60k and a new alternator belt since mine was cracking. I drove about 10 miles and then I hear a sound like a baseball card on bike spokes.. I heard a snap.. My battery light came on my dash, and my power steering kicked out. I got off to the side of 95n by Philly in rush hour traffic and popped the hood. I could see the belt was shreaded and hanging there.

The dealer towed it back, and I need to call the service manager this morning. What could go wrong by this happening, that they should check out?

    Thanks

    They probably over tightened it.
