    02 wrx repair cincinnati

I have an 02 wrx wagon that gets the fuel smell. Dealer estimate was $688 for valve cover gaskets. $545 for gas line tubs leaking and replacement of fuel lines. This seems high to me. Any feedback would be appreciated. I would love if someone could recommend a mechanic in the cincy area.

I found 3 dealers in the area. Check with the other 2.

Fuel smell is a known issue, and a TSB was issued many years ago. I got mine fixed in '09 for free. You should call the dealers in your area and see if they can get SOA to cover the cost of the fix. Read the sticky below.

And like Drews said, contact all the dealers in your area to find the best cost. Valve cover gaskets can be replaced by almost anybody with basic tools, so that quote seems a little high to me.

^ agreed. Way to high of a price. The guys at beechmont subaru are very helpful. They usually have everything you need as where the other 2 dealers never have anything
