    check engine

Hi. I searched the forum but came up empty on this. I have a 2004 WRX with 54,000 miles on it. The check engine lite came on today. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and if there are some most-likely reasons for the light going on. I already checked the fuel cap and it's on tight.
    Thanks very much

Without telling us what the code is it's anyone's guess.

thanks, mainframe. Light just went on, don't have code yet. Just wondering if there might be a (small) number of likely causes, like an O2 sensor, etc. Thanks.

There are over 400 codes, and any number of potential causes for each code..
