    p0341& p0346!!!

I have a friend who may have miss-shifted from mid 3rd into 2nd on the highway, but didn't dump the clutch. It was a casual drive and says he disengaged the clutch as soon as it over revved. Data logging shows when the cels went of (p0341 p0346= camshaft position sensor) that the car hit 74815rpms. the car has only 3000 miles on it wrx 14. Is this something the warranty would cover?

It should not -- bad driving rather than a fault -- but it might.

However you have not specified what the "something" is that you would like covered. If it's the CELs they might simply reset the ECU after attempting to charge a diagnostic fee or not; if it's the engine there is nothing to support a claim, since the engine works.

The engine does work and seems to be fine. My friend says that psi had dropped and it has a substantial powerloss. I believe it went into limp.mode with the check engine light and only cruise control light flashing. I cleared the codes and it went out of limp mode but the car is still very sluggish. Idon't think he scrambled the motor, but maybe jumped a tooth something with the timing. I wonder if the dealer can see.the freeze frame after I cleared.the codes.

I too wonder but don't know.

How did you retrieve logs from a stock car?

I have the u scan ob2 tool. Shows real time monitoring and data logging if the cel is thrown.

Can you detect any CELs stored now, after resetting?

Buddy brought it to the dealer. They said since the codes were reset they can't see em or get any logs or freeze frame data. To them they said nothing happened, but they also Told my buddy if anything happenes and the light comes on again come straight in and they will take care of it. They read the ecu and they say everything is.in stock parameters. This makes me wonder if you had the accesport and threw a cel you.might be able to set the parameters back to stock and go to the dealer. That is if they only look to see if the parameters were stock and they couldn't tell if you flashed.or not.
