High pitch whine, from intake or turbo?

First, I hope this is the right section. Next the problem. Ever since going stage 2 I get this high pitch wine, which I cannot replicate, going about half throttle or high boost, anywhere from 12-19lbs. This happens only in gears 3-5. It's louder than the normal intake whistle. It's very high pitch. So I logged to see if maybe my car was running bad, nope log looks great. I tried to get a sound clip but I couldn't. Again this only happened after my catted downpipe install. Could it be I'm just hearing my turbo more now that I have the better airflow? I looked for rips in my intake, looks ok, dirty but fine. I'm losing my mind. It's probably the most annoying sound I've ever heard. Help plz! And if this is in the wrong section. Plz move. Thanks again!

    Jared.

Hmm, can't really hear anything weird. I guess it's possible I could have a leak considering I was just working on the downpipe. Would that issue be a warranty fix and be free if it was the Intercooler.

Is it like a "my up-pipe is leaking" whine? Or like "air leaking out of a hose" whine?

You're original link doesn't work. I pulled the video ID from the URL and linked below. Hopefully someone can chime in, I've never heard that noise.

From the video clip it sounds like metal rubbing.

I can, it may be helpful to focus on the tach though so we can know more about the RPM. At 80MPH in 5th you're going to be spooled, so what you may be hearing is the BPV depending on what your doing with the accelerator.

EDIT: After re-reading your original post, I think this is what you're hearing. I'll be back from my business trip tomorrow and can film the same noise.

    It doesn't happen just in 5th. It's 3-5

If it was that whirrring whistly kind of sound...its your turbo spooling up. Going from a flat flange DP to a bellmouth or even a divorced bellmouth design is going to open up the possibility for more audible sounds.

Definitely check your intercooler if you're worried still. You don't need to take it to the dealer for that. Its easy bolt on/off. And check the DP for leaks if you're worried (soapy water when the car is on...you'll see bubbles).
